Data collected
We collect only the data you provide to us voluntarily: by email to info@batao.org (your address and the content of your message) and, if you sign up for it, via the newsletter (email address), the sending of which is entrusted to Brevo (a provider established in the EU). The site's audience measurement (Matomo, self-hosted) relies on anonymised browsing data, without cookies and with a truncated IP address: it does not allow you to be identified and remains hosted by BATAO.
Purposes and legal basis
This data is used solely to respond to your requests and, if you consent, to send you our news. The legal basis is your consent and our legitimate interest in communicating about our activities.
Retention
Your data is kept for as long as necessary to process your request, then deleted or archived in accordance with the law.
Hosting and processors
The site is hosted by OVH, within the European Union. The only processors are the host (OVH) and, for the newsletter, Brevo; both are established in the EU and bound by a data processing agreement. Audience measurement (Matomo) is self-hosted, with no transfer to any third party.
Your rights
In accordance with the GDPR, you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection. To exercise it, write to us at info@batao.org. You may also lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority (APD).
