Our ground

Territories

Senegal is the first territory in the BATAO network. Others are joining, at the pace of new partnerships. Wherever image markets are developing, we look for partners ready to move forward in the same logic of exchange, with no one-way relationship.

Senegal

Our founding territory.

Senegal is where BATAO became real. BATAO Senegal has its own operational platform there, with its services, its teams and its databases: locations, actors, technicians.

It has also become a platform of skills that can be transferred to other grounds, sometimes more relevant than expertise brought in from further afield. The South can train the South.

Multilateral

Cooperation no longer rests on a single country.

The project has taken on a multilateral dimension. The Senegalese State is committing 50 million CFA francs, close to €76,000, to the film commission. Responsibility and decision-making are now shared between the partners, and that is what makes the whole solid.

Tomorrow

Other territories, the same logic.

We are building new partnerships and looking for territories that want to move forward in the same logic of balanced exchange. Two lines of prospecting are under way: Benin, targeted by the sector's new funds, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, an immense market linked to Belgium by history, language and a large diaspora, where the Kinshasa Film House project offers a foothold.

We are also looking towards Asia and Latin America, where markets are developing. Ongoing leads are only announced once confirmed.
